Brittney Thompson, our Financial Manager was grateful to receive a cheque from JT Classic Pro-Am organizers Jodie Jenkins and Tim Howard in the amount of $6500.00 last week.
Earlier this year, the JT Classic Pro-Am organizers worked diligently with the HPE Health Board and Trillium Woods Golf to modify their event to comply with COVID protocols and hosted their most successful tournament to date, raising over $11,000.00 for the Enrichment Centre for Mental Health and Grace Inn Homeless Shelter.
The JT Classic Pro-Am is Quinte’s ONLY charity Pro-am golf tournament and has seen a steady increase in support from golf professionals across North America and local community sponsors. This year their field of pro’s consisted of past and current members of the Great Lakes Tour, Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica as well as some of the top golf instructors in the country! They were also thrilled to host for the first time, four unbelievable female professional golfers.
Over it’s four years, the JT Classic Pro-Am has raised over $32,000.00 for local charities, and organizers Tim & Jodie are already hard at work to make 2021 even bigger!
