I was born and raised in the Quinte area, and joined ECMH over 3 years ago as a placement student, after completing my Masters’s in Health Evaluation.  Through my placement, I evaluated the transitional housing program, and since then my role has pivoted to the Financial Manager.  Within my role at ECMH, I split my time between programming and supporting the organization in meeting its operational and administrative needs.  I feel lucky enough to pursue my passion in helping individuals find balance and resilience with their mental health with the implementation of mindful tools, through the program I designed and facilitate, Strong Women Rising.  I look forward to either connecting through the programs I facilitate or linking to find out how you can support ECMH.

I have lived most of my life in the Belleville area, and raised my family here.  I have done a lot of anti-poverty work both as a volunteer and as an employee for a variety of roles during my 15 years at ECMH, starting as a volunteer, working in the housing department, and now in the SE Program.  I bring my personal experiences, and my education to my role.  It is rewarding to be a part of the SE team and to be part of someone’s journey to recovery, resilience, and renewal.

I have worked for this agency for 8 years.  During this time, I have had multiple roles.  I have worked with hoarding, transitional housing, and employment.  As well, I am a registered trainer for safeTalk; ASIST and Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.  I really enjoy the variety of people I work with every day.

I enjoy working collaboratively on a team that supports people toward their employment goals.  Walking along side someone and encouraging them as they overcome barriers and move forward in their life, is rewarding and also a priviledge.

Born and raised in the Quinte area, I have deep connections to the community.  I have nearly ten years experience working in the local not-for-profit sector, and I care strongly about helping to make lives better for the individuals and families who call our region home.  Working within the SE program, I am able to leverage relationships and connections to assist individuals in matching with sustainable, long term employment opportunities.

I grew up in the Quinte area and after 20 years away moved back to Quinte West with my family.  I have made many friendships and connections in the area, especially during my time working in local minor hockey, at the Belleville Chamber and volunteering at many local non-profits and events.  I joined the ECMH team 2 years ago and am proud to use my skill sets to support mental wellness in our community.  My past food services experience has also enabled me to support the Inspire Futures training team.

Coming from a variety of beginnings, I have experiences in Food Services, Social Work, Tech and Security, Facilitation and over 28 years in management and 10 years as a Journalist.  My career has been filled with amazing lessons which I try to summarize and instill in everything I do here at ECMH.  Having lived my entire life here in the Quinte area, I have met amazing people, made many connections, and learned many lessons with hopes to learn more.  SAO – Inspire Futures is very close to my heart and our Team works diligently beside one and all on ones road to renewal.

I orginally am from Guelph and moved to the Quinte area in 2018 to pursue my Social Service Worker diploma.  Since then, I have been working with ECMH first as a placement student, now employee.  I’ve had the chance to work in different areas of the agency, and finally settling in with the Inspire Futures Program.  I provide support and training to help participants of the program successfully secure employment in the desired sector and will work closely with local employers to understand their staffing needs, industry changes and how we can help prepare individuals to transition into the workforce.

I’ve been lucky to be a part of this agency for the last five years, working first with the housing team, then as a community counsellor, and also as part of the SE team.  I have also been involved with the facilitation of various Support Groups.  Recently I made the switch to the Inspire Futures program and have been very happy with the move as it gives me a chance to work closely with an excellent team where we work together with a common goal.  I’m passionate about helping others in any way that I can & look forward to working with new people that join the program.

I have worked for the agency for 5 years now, and during this time I have gained knowledge and understanding of our homeless situation.   I connect with my clients to support them in many ways but mainly to find safe affordable housing, something they can call their forever home.  The housing department is rewarding and challenging each and every day.

I have worked for this agency for two years.  During these two years I have worked in two different roles within our Housing Department.  My current role is to provide support to both folks in our transitional houses, as well as working with folks who have left our housing to support them in maintaining their safe affordable housing.  This role can be very challenging at times but supporting clients to overcome barriers and find a safe and affordable place to call home is very rewarding.

I am a recent Community Justice Studies (CJS) graduate from Loyalist College, and I’m beginning my career in the social work field.  I hope to use the opportunity of working for this organization to gain a better understanding of issues present in our community regarding homelessness.  Growing up, I spent a lot of time here in Belleville and now I’m looking to give back to our community.  I’m looking forward to working more with the amazing team here at The Enrichment Centre.

I have been raised in this community and am now raising a family of my own here.  I have supported many individuals over the years in several different environments including schools, group homes, independent living, as well as home care.  I enjoy being able to make a difference in someone’s life and empower them to live independently.  I encourage individuals to overcome obstacles, build relationships, and support them in their day-to-day tasks and goals.  This role is very rewarding as even in my personal life, I strive to make a difference and help everyone live their best possible lives.
